The Mayor of Merton wants residents to get rocking and support her chosen charities at her first fundraiser.
Wimbledon Rock Choir will entertain the audience with a night of pop, rock and Motown songs on June 8 in the Sacred Heart Church Hall.
The choir will perform for free to ensure all proceeds go to the Mayor’s chosen charities - Home Start Merton and Polka Theatre.
Mayor of Merton Councillor Krystal Miller said: "I popped along to rock choir's rehearsal last night and they were in brilliant voice. I won't tell you what my favourite song was as I don't want to spoil it for everyone else but I know it is going to be a great evening.
"The money raised will go to helping my two charities which both support families and children through very difficult times. Come along, have fun and help us to help more families in need."
Merton Rocks takes place on Saturday, June 8 from 7.30pm at Sacred Heart Church Hall, on Edge Hill, Wimbledon.
Tickets are £12.50 and includes a drink. To book, call 020 8545 3517 or email mayor@merton.gov.uk
