Ike Barinholtz has revealed he will “cover all bases” in his upcoming book.
The Mindy Project funnyman, who plays male nurse Morgan Tookers in the hit comedy, will serve up “piping hot takes” for the as-yet-untitled book.
“I’m thrilled to be able to share my thoughts with the world, and my piping hot takes will cover all the bases: Comedy, showbiz, sex, Hollywood, the Chicago Bulls of the ’90s, sex and drugs, movies, politics, the ‘Biz,’ pizza and travel, religion and entertainment,” Ike said.
“I just want people to say, ‘OH! THAT GUY! YEAH, HE’S FUNNY, I’LL BUY HIS BOOK, WHAT THE HELL, I’VE GOT LIKE A FIVE HOUR FLIGHT’.”
The book, which will be accompanied with an audio version, will be a collection of hilarious essays, following his journey from Chicago as a “street thug” to a “Tea Party activist and reality show watcher.”
It will also include “delicious, heart-healthy crockpot recipes”, and will be released in the autumn of 2017.
Ike’s Mindy Project co-star Mindy Kaling will release her second book, Why Not Me?, in September, following her 2011 memoirs, Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns).
Other US comedy stars who have published books include Amy Poehler, Tina Fey and Sarah Silverman.
