By John Penman, Wimbledon Park
Your newspaper is obviously correct to write about the council’s overzealous parking wardens and ghastly policies such as the bus lane next to Morrison’s in Hartfield Road.
But I would also like to thank Merton Council for two very sensible and welcome changes that have made my commute to and from Wimbledon Park just a little bit easier.
The first one is the mini-roundabout it installed in Gap Road, at the junction with Avondale Road a few months ago, which I am sure has greatly helped the rush hour traffic flow.
The other is the new right turn filter in the Broadway when you want to go into Trinity Road, which makes it easier for the cars wanting to continue down the town centre.
These are not big changes, but I imagine lots of people will collectively appreciate them, so perhaps a great benefit to us overall.
