I live in the borough of Morden and I wanted to let you know about a football tournament that was held in Alperdoorn in the Netherlands, over the last half term school break.

Morden Little League recently took 3 teams over to the Netherlands to play an international football tournament of which I managed one with my coaching colleague.

The team that I managed won there group and we won the trophy. The team played very well. It is so good when a team of under 13 put there mind to work together and compete and benefit from achieving good results.

The team represented Morden Little league football organisation went to is a football organisation that offers free football to girls and boys, year 2 to 8 for boys and for girls year 2 to year 9 at King George playing fields Tudor Drive. The www.mordenlittleleague.com gives all the information to join by completing an application form. All the kids need is enthusiasm shin pads and boots and the league will provide the kit.

At the tournament we played six games. We lost the first game. Then drew the second game where our confidence started to grow. Then we went onto win the next 4 games.

The games were very exiting as our defence had to work hard to keep the other teams from scoring. Also midfield guys worked hard to sopport the back and forward players. Overall it was a good team performance. The facilities were were very good in Holland as we played on Asto turf pitches and the club house facilities was good as well.
