Time was when an undelivered parcel went to the Post Office depot in Mitcham, to be picked up. Parcelforce seems not to have cottoned on to the idea of leaving items with a neighbour.
I went to pick up an undelivered parcel from the usual spot and was told, to my surprise, that it was at the Post Office in the local Londis store.
Well, the Post Office wasn't open between the hours mentioned on the delivery ticket, so I hung around for half an hour and then joined a queue at the Post Office counter. When my parcel was finally located, I found that I was required to pay an extra pound. For convenient delivery.
What?
I e-mailed my supplier to ask them to tell Parcelforce to leave items with a neighbour. That's what I call convenient delivery.
