Re Circle Housing Merton Priory admits contractors overcharged for repairs and launches wider investigation, April 10, we welcome the news and thank the Wimbledon Guardian and local residents for their efforts. It is important this is sorted because residents have had to put up with inadequate repairs for too long.
We are disappointed with Circle Housing for their continued inability to manage repairs and are glad that after months of persistence from Labour councillors putting the case on behalf of our constituents, Circle has finally accepted that there is a problem with its contractor.
We welcome its decision to hold a full investigation and want the results published in full as soon as possible, but most of all, we now need Circle to take urgent steps to ensure the repair service is radically overhauled so that residents get the service they deserve and that they already pay for.
