I would like to protest about the ice cream vans that regularly patrol our streets.
In an era where 99.9 per cent of the population have a fridge freezer, do we need ice cream vans coming round polluting our streets with diesel fumes coming from their exhausts in the high hopes that we will buy from them? Also they are polluting the environment with unnecessary noise from their loudspeakers.
What about people who work night shift and are maybe trying to get a few hours sleep before going back to work?
Quite frankly, for £2, I can buy a tub of quality ice cream from my local supermarket with enough in the tub for 6-8 people and have ice cream when I want it.
Parents don't need the pester power from ice cream vans nor do the public need the noise and diesel pollution from ice cream vans.
