Recent developments regarding the use of intimidating bullying tactics adopted by AFC supporters have prompted us to urge Erik Samuelson to rein in his aggressive AFC campaign!

AFC supporters are intimidating, and individual fans are slandering and bullying local residents, the WPRA and local journalists, simply for raising objections about the present Galliard Homes/AFC planning application and/or reporting on it.

Whilst AFC are publicly stating that their supporters are all such nice, pleasant and `peace loving’ people, they are busy hounding local residents online and on Twitter. Mob rule is unacceptable in `our’ community.

The police has been informed!

Sadly this means that the actions of the club’s PR machine have resulted in `all’ supporters being tarred with the same brush and Councillor Andrew Judge should ask himself what he has started here.

As a publicly self proclaimed ardent AFC supporter he seems to have used his position within Merton Council to have decided what is best for `our’ local community: to accept a 20,000 seater stadium and over 600 flats on our doorstep, thereby completely ignoring the `needs’ of the local community and fanning the flames of the AFC PR machine in trying to intimidate local residents who dare to object, and in particular WPRA, into submission.

As someone who is hoping to be chosen as the next MP for our locality, he has not shown any interest in us at all and one wonders how this will turn out for him. The reasons why most people here would chose Paschal Taggart’s new greyhound stadium plan are obvious: much less interference in our daily lives, no traffic chaos or threat of flooding in the neighbouring community and, most important, no intimidation and no bullying tactics used against local people.
