On the evening of Tuesday the 17th a group of travellers returned to the car park of Morden Park Pool, barely three weeks after being evicted the last time.
On that occasion it took Merton Council over a month to move them on. The condition they left another park and playground in the borough has been well reported.
Before you print the anticipated lame excuse from Councillor Andrew Judge I would like to ask a simple question. How is it that he approves almost unlimited resources into extracting maximum revenue from law abiding, council taxpaying, local residents through his camera cars and dodgy bus lanes, yet struggles to lift a finger against this known group of travellers?
Andrew Judge is the Labour Party candidate for Wimbledon, a seat they can win but not without the Cannon Hill ward. So far local residents are far from impressed with his efforts in our backyard.
