My wife and daughter attended Wimbledon theatre to see the Moscow Ballet back in November 2014. They had a wonderful time. I have an eight year old son who wasn't too keen so I decided to take him bowling in Kingston. Whilst trying to find my way out a number of back roads with an eight year old son talking I made the mistake of making a right turn that was not allowed. Easy mistake to make. Now we all make mistakes and I am willing to hold my hands up - I missed the sign. I accept a fine. A £30/£40 fine for me would be reasonable not £195! That makes it a very expensive night out - one which I will not repeat.
Now I'm all for supporting local theatres, as I know they are a dying breed, but unfortunately I cannot support the services of Merton Council as well, as I pay council tax in my own town for that.
So I would just like to say that unfortunately my family, friends or colleagues will not be attending your theatre in the near future due to your council's money-spinning activities. I'm sure I'm not the first.
