Has Merton Council planning department made a discourteous oversight in the time allowed for consultation for a planning application for a football stadium and housing on the site of Wimbledon Greyhound Stadium?
According to the planning notification, residents have just 35 days from 16 December to comment on or object to this planning application.
This is too short a time for proper consideration and consultation which is interrupted by the Christmas and New Year holidays.
The application is classified by the council as 'major' with 'environmental impact' which implies much more than planning for a garden shed!
Should Merton Council consider making sufficient time for the application to be considered by all interested parties until the end of February?
