Letter to the Editor: Could MP help get step-free access at station?
I was pleased to read in today's edition of the success that Councillor David Dean and Stephen Hammond have had with getting Network Rail to renovate the footbridge over the railway between Merton Hall Rd and Elm Grove (Rail company called on to repair 'dangerous' bridge, October 30).
Perhaps Mr Hammond would now like lobby Network Rail to build the long awaited and promised step-free access to Haydon's Rd station.
The local residents and Councillor Latif don't seem to be having any luck - perhaps a word from Mr Hammond could push things along.
