Police taped off the corner of Carisbrooke Road on Monday evening following reports of a stabbing
I was very surprised to read the comment at the foot of the article from Cheryl Giddy, family support worker at the New Horizon Centre, in which she is quoted as saying "It's shocking, but round here you sort of expect it".
One would think she was describing the Wild West when in fact she appears to be referring to an incident in a residential road near the New Horizon Centre.
I consider the comment to be offensive to the many law abiding residents living and working in the area.
