Merton ticket officers go on a ticketing spree exactly 14 days after permits run out in zones GC.

After introducing ridiculously long parking restrictions in Mitcham/Tooting last year the council decided not to make it a formal process to remind members of their borough who they are there to provide a service to, permits needed renewing this year.

Instead they sent out emails and if u didn't receive them. Tuff.

They have then ensured officers were out in full, ticketing cars on 3rd June not even putting on reminders.

For a scheme that was in its first year you I would expect alot more from Merton explaining when and how permits are to be renewed.

If you're ticketed for breaking parking laws for parking incorrectly you get annoyed and pay it.

But when your local life time service provider treats you like the enemy for parking in the right area with the right zone permit - and takes cheap shots at you to increase revenue on top of the hundreds of pounds they take from you on a yearly basis - can we really call them service providers?

Or do we call them local borough thugs? We are forced to provide for a service where you are reprovided a paper permit which I could probably print myself.

Thank you for letting me share my frustration.
