As a candidate for the Cricket Green Ward representing the Mitcham Independent Party in the recent local elections I would like to thank everyone who came out to the polls and supported us.

We are a small independent party that really has an interest in Mitcham and what the people think.

This was our stand and we were impressed by the amount of support we got in the election, certainly in line with other party support but it was always going to be a hard battle against a Labour stronghold.

Let us hope that our ward councilors will stand up for Mitcham and give the people what they want over the next four years.
