I am astonished to read I have not been invited to the Mayor’s Ball because of my ‘alleged past behaviour at previous balls.'
As I am 100 per cent confident I have always behaved perfectly properly at previous balls, I can only conclude Mayor Krystal Miller’s comment is nothing more than a politically motivated, malicious, unsubstantiated and wholly unfounded smear directed at me purely because I am a UKIP Councillor and we have elections in eight weeks' time.
Therefore I put this challenge to the Mayor: Explain precisely what you mean by your comment or apologise for your vindictive smear. After all, if I have behaved badly as an elected representative, doesn’t the public have a right to know?
If Mayor Miller can’t ‘man-up’ and apologise personally, I will accept an apology delivered through Stephen Hammond MP.
Stephen has been a guest at my table at the Mayor’s Ball in previous years and has therefore had ample opportunity to view my behaviour.
