Bank of England Rugby Club skipper Ed Waite says his team are among the front runners for the Herts/Middlesex Division One title.
A hat-trick of tries from Cameron Ewer, plus two each for Will Spencer and Rory McDonald – as well as two penalties and a conversion from James Marshall – saw BoE to a comfortable 43-6 win at Hendon on Saturday.
Moreover, it meant Waite’s charges have recorded back-to-back wins.
He said: “Our new coaches Ben Allgrove and Simon Devis have brought some structure to our play which had set us up well.
“There are five teams in this division vying for the top spot and I know we’re going to be in that mix.
“We recruited well in the summer and it really shows in the performances.
“Against Hendon we managed to build our previous win over West London and got on top early, scoring three tries in the first 25 minutes.”
