Quins director of rugby Conor O'Shea has told prop Mark Lambert he has a big part to play in his front row plans for years to come.
The 27-year-old signed a two-year contract extension until 2015 this week to hand a major boost to the club's front row resources.
The news came days after academy tighthead props Will Collier and Kyle Sinckler also extended their current Stoop deals until 2015.
"There are people who epitomise what a club is about and what a team is about and Mark is one of those players," said O'Shea.
"He is someone we are going to rely on heavily in the years to come if we are to attain the goals we all aspire to."
Lambert has made 89 first team appearances since his debut as a teenager in 2004.
And having established himself as a major player in the Premiership after succession of serious injuries, he is ready for more.
"I still feel I have much to prove to myself and others in the quartered shirt," he said.
