Harlequins's try-scoring debutant Ben Botica has found himself surplus to requirements to face Sale Sharks tomorrow.

The 22-year-old Kiwi, son of Frano Botica, came off the bench to score the final try of the 40-3 triumph over London Welsh last Friday.

But with star man Nick Evans’ regular understudy Rory Clegg ready to return for the trip north, Botica may be frustrated.

“You don’t win the Premiership without using every single player in the squad and this season will be no different,” he said.

“Both Ben and Rory are 22-years-old, but they both give us something different off the bench.

“I’m delighted to see Cleggy fit again and he will be back in the mix at the weekend."

Quins, who top the table after the opening two weeks of the campaign, head to winless Sale on Saturday and O’Shea expects a stiff test.

“With players like Dwayne Peel and Danny Cipriani  they will be challenging for top honours,” he said.
