Former St George's College student Anthony Watson made a big pre-World Cup impression as his two tries helped England started their tournament preparations in style at Twickenham on Saturday.
The 21-year-old, named man of the match, showed some impressive footwork to score two tries in the opening 20 minutes to put head coach Stuart Lancaster's on their way to a 19-14 win over France.
Watson's double and three Morgan Parra penalties for the French made it 12-9 at the break, before Jonny May collected Alex Goode's kick to put his side 19-9 up soon after re-start.
Fulgence Ouedraogo pulled a try back for the French from a rolling maul, but England held on despite problems at the scrum.
