Miles Mantella will make the permanent switch to London Scottish ahead of the 2013-14 season after the Harlequins winger spent the past season at the Athletic Ground on a dual-registration agreement.

The 21-year-old joined Scottish as part of a quartet of dual-registration signings from neighbours Harlequins at the beginning of last season and played a key role in the side’s progression up the Championship table at the start of 2013.

Mantella said: “I’m delighted to make the permanent switch to the Athletic Ground. I’ve really enjoyed my time there over the course of the past season and I’m grateful for the opportunity to play regular rugby.

“I’m excited about what Scottish want to achieve and I look forward to playing my part next season.”

Director of rugby Simon Amor said: “We’re delighted to be able to bring Miles onboard as a permanent member of our squad.

“He showed a tremendous amount of ability, and he offers us an exciting attacking threat out wide, that has benefited us hugely.

“He’s a young player with bags of potential and we’re looking to help him develop his game further.”
