Esher head Mike Schmid reckons Rosslyn Park have what it takes to push Ealing Trailfinders all the way in the hunt for National League One glory.

After watching Park beat his charges 27-10 last Friday night, Schmid said: “There are some bits to Park that we tried to expose so I don't think they are a top of the table team yet.

"It is clear they are still looking for that magical performance, but they are doing enough to win every weekend.

“They have a lot of experience on that pitch, they've brought in some big hitters - as well as Mike [McFarlane] and Tom [Whelan] from us, so there must be a compliment in there somewhere.

"Ealing are very big up front, so Park have to sort out their scrum a little, although they were missing their best prop, but with him in there, they have a chance and they can trouble Ealing.”

This weekend, Esher host Loughborough Students, while Park go to Hartpury College.
