Old Rutlishians picked up their first win since the opening day of the Surrey Two season, thanks to a 29-19 win over Streatham-Croydon.
James Kearney, Olly Douch and Stof Robson got the tries, and Matthew Chandler kicked 14 points.
Old Ruts remain second from bottom, but are now only two points behind Streatham-Croydon.
Backs coach Darren Ramen said: “We threw away a 16-point lead, and were 19-19 with about five minutes left.
“But some fantastic interplay between Andy Ratclife and Stof Robson led to a vital try from Robson.
“Streatham-Croydon were coming off the back of a great win over Old Amplefordians, so this win was all the more special, and it keeps us in touch with the main group.”
He added: “We’re a work in progress. We have a whole new coaching set up and we’re looking to create a core of consistent players, and that is happening with each win.”
