Met Police are still looking for their first win in the Ryman League Premier Division after picking up just one point from their bank holiday double-header and boss Jim Cooper is becoming
increasingly angry at his wayward strikers.
A 2-1 defeat at in-form Lowestoft on Saturday was compounded by a host of missed chances in a 2-2 home draw against Enfield on Monday.
Cooper said: “We are conceding poor goals, but the amount of clear cut chances we are missing is bordering on ridiculous.
“They either need to start to perform or they need to find another club.
“I will be looking for players this week and will be putting the obligatory seven day approaches into other clubs for the players we need.”
Staff Palmer scored the Met’s consolation goal against Lowestoft in the 90th minute, although a display of outstanding goalkeeping from Jake Jessup in the home goal contrived to keep the Met at bay
Against Enfield, Palmer and Ty Smith got on the scoresheet, but not before Sos Yao, Howard Newton and Palmer had squandered countless chances in front of goal.
The Met travel to Cray Wanderers for a league clash on Saturday.
