Daryl Siaw’s time at Tooting & Mitcham United came to an acrimonious end after the defender allegedly lied to boss Frank Wilson.
Siaw, a summer signing from Farningham, had been due to take the place of the cup-tied Adriano Moraes in the FA Trophy clash at Tilbury on Saturday, but it never happened.
Departed Hams has Tooting & Mitcham United in his heart
Wilson said: “Daryl phoned me mid-morning on the day of the game to say he was unwell and couldn’t play, which we later learnt was not the case.
“It was a huge disappointment and led to his departure - he let himself, his team-mates and the club down and that can't be tolerated.”
Tooting & Mitcham United go to Walton Casuals, one of Siaw’s former clubs, this weekend.
