Chessington & Hook United could not pull off an FA Cup giant-killing on Saturday, but they exited the competition more than £3,000 richer.
The COmbined Counties Premier Division side crashed 3-2 at home to Southern League Division One South & West leaders North Leigh in the first qualifying round.
United were 2-0 down early in the second half before defender James Duke raised hopes of a come back, before the visitors scored a third to make Freddie Myers late effort a mere consolation.
Chessington had reached the first qualifying round having first beaten Crowborough Athletic 2-1 after extra time in their extra preliminary round replay and then Ryman Division One South Hythe Town 2-0 in the preliminary round.
The two wins pocketed the Chalky Lane club £3,425 in prize money, which would have nearly doubled had they reached the second qualifying round.
Elsewhere, a Ricky Sappleton penalty earned Kingstonian a 1-1 draw with Farnborough and Met Police were held 0-0 at home by Sittingbourne FC.
Molesey lost 1-0 at Croydon FC, Leatherhead were held 1-1 at South Park, Carshalton Athletic won 2-1 at Pagham and Hampton & Richmond Borough lost 1-0 at home to Dulwich Hamlet.
