Ryman Premier League

The biggest result of the weekend belonged to Carshalton Athletic who, after just one win in 12 outings, hammered Grays Athletic 4-1 in their own back yard.

Goals from Kingsley Aikhionbare, Billy Dunn and Bobby Price (two) saw off a Grays side that had won their previous five league games.

Despite the result, the Robins remain second from bottom and firmly ensconced in the relegation places.

Kingstonian remain three points outside the play-offs after a 1-1 draw at home to fellow promotion hopefuls AFC Hornchurch.

It was a tale of two penalties with Ryan Moss’s second half spot-kick levelling a George Purcell effort in the first half.

Met Police also picked up a solitary point from a 1-1 draw at Canvey Island, thanks to Nigel Neita’s late equaliser.

Hampton & Richmond Borough missed the chance to leap-frog the Met, going down 3-0 at struggling Hendon.

Walton Casuals did Leatherhead a favour on Saturday, beating league leaders Peacehaven & Telscombe 4-2 at the Waterside stadium.

Gabriel Odunaike and Scott Day put Casuals 2-0 ahead, before they were pegged back by free-scoring Peacehaven (they have 97 league goals so far this season).

However, a Malachi Hudson brace in the final 10 minutes inflicted only a third defeat on Peacehaven, and ended a 20-game unbeaten run.

Leatherhead, in second, took advantage beating Three Bridges 2-1 at Fetcham grove with second half goals from Theo Fairweather-Johnson and Tom Bradbrook.

The Tanners are now seven points adrift of top spot, and have played a game more.

Tooting & Mitcham and Folkestone Invicta played out a 0-0 draw at Imperial Fields, and Walton & Hersham went down 3-2 at Whitstable Town with goals from Matthew Reece and Andrew Mensah.

Jamie Byatt hit his 20th league goal of the season for Corinthian Casuals, but could not prevent a 2-1 defeat at Hastings United.
