Hampton & Richmond Borough striker Tom Collins' first goal for the club preserved new boss Alan Dowson's unbeaten start to his reign with a 1-0 win over Enfield Town on Tuesday.
Collins pounced to score in the 22nd minute after Hemel Hempstead Town loan defender Moussa Diarra had caused havoc at a corner as the Beavers followed Saturday's 2-1 triumph over East Thurrock United.
The former Wealdstone front man could easily have had a hat-trick but squandered two chances with only the keeper to beat, saw a penalty saved and was inexplicably booked for diving with the goal at his mercy having rounded Enfield's number one.
Enfield's only clear cut opportunity came when defender Ryan Dyle struck both posts with a 67th minute penalty after substitute Bradley Quinton had been felled in the box at a corner.
Hampton head to struggling AFC Hornchurch on Saturday.
