Surrey Senior Cup winners Met Police have finally been handed a shot at Ryman Premier League promotion thanks to a belated Football Association judgement.

The Blues travel to face Hendon in the play-off semi-finals this Thursday after the FA threw out Enfield's appeal against a three-point deduction from the Ryman League for fielding an ineligible player.

Boss Jimmy Cooper's men had finished sixth in the table, but the ruling sees them elevated to fifth at the expense of their north Middlesex rivals, who had fielded a suspended player in a 1-0 league win over Hendon in January.

The news brings to an end two weeks of uncertainty following the final day of the season, which had seen Rob Bartley's late goal give the Blues the vital 2-1 home win over AFC Hornchurch that would ultimately secure a top five finish.

The other match is between Margate and Dulwich Hamlet, which was also postponed from its original date, Thursday April 30, with the final to be played on Sunday May 17.
