Hampton & Richmond Borough managed to hold onto a point as they came from behind to force a 2-2 draw with Hendon on Saturday, thus preserving their good form against the league's leading clubs, writes Rob Overfield.

After Kezie Ibe had scored on 19 minutes to give the Greens the lead, it took Hampton until the 58th minute to level matters as club legend Charlie Moone reacted quickest to volley home a Jake Rose cross from close range.

This goal was the one the team and the player were waiting for as it was Moone's 100th goal for the Beavers, only the fourth Beavers player to reach that landmark in senior football.

The level score only lasted some 10 minutes as Aaron Morgan found himself in acres of space in the Hampton box and sidefooted the ball past Smith.

Hendon were playing an away team game, sitting back and letting Hampton onto them, but they paid in the end as Moone chased a long pass towards the Hendon box.

Despite the close attention of three green shirts, he still managed to lift the ball in a cheeky lob over the Hendon keeper to land inside the post for his 101st goal.

It was no more than the team deserved, and it had been well earned.
