Met Police manager Jimmy Cooper has admitted keeper Stuart Searle may yet miss a large part of his side’s run-in to the Ryman Premier League’s climax.

The Blues number one has been out of action since a car accident last month left him with whiplash and back pain.

Understudy Billy Granger pulled a muscle in last week’s 3-0 defeat at Billericay Town and Cooper will deploy Luton Town loanee Craig King when his side head to play-off rivals Dulwich Hamlet on Saturday.

The Blues are currently a point outside of the division's play-off places with 15 games still to play.

And Cooper is hoping some medical expertise from Premier League leaders Chelsea can get Searle back between the sticks sooner rather than later.

“I am not 100 per cent sure when Stuart might be back,” said the Imber Court chief.

“He is still struggling with a whiplash type injury from a car crash he had about three weeks ago.

"He had an MRI scan this week and we’re hoping that does not show anything more up.

"Stuart works for Chelsea and is getting a bit of physio from their medical team to help solve the problem and get him back for us."

He added: "Dulwich will be a tough game. There are no two ways about it, they are a good side.

"The difference between their dips in form and ours is that when they dip they lose one game and then win the next three.

"We have had some games postponed recently, which means we have a lot of games to fit in.

"Results have gone our way, so we are still right up there with some games in hand. We are in a good position, we just need to get back to winning matches."
