Sutton United boss Paul Doswell was left with sour taste in his mouth after a last-gasp leveller denied his charges all three Conference South points.
Having taken a 2-0 lead at the Lane against Bishop’s Stortford, through Jessy Reindorf’s fifth of the season and Glen Southam’s penalty, United were pulled back to 2-2 in injury time and denied a second consecutive league win.
Doswell said: “We should have had all three points, anyone in the ground will tell you that.
“We were undone by two basic long throws, and apart from that I don’t think they had a shot on target throughout the game.
“But that’s football, and it leaves a sour taste in the mouth especially because in the first half we played some of our best football this season.”
United go to Hayes & Yeading on Sunday, kick-off 3pm.
