Andre McCollin is confident old pals Elvis Hammond and Nathaniel Pinney can still fire Kingstonian’s Ryman Premier League campaign.

McCollin quit the club for a final shot at the professional ranks as he moved to Conference Premier Aldershot Town last week and made his debut in a 1-1 draw at Dartford.

Pinney and Hammond both scored against Billericay Town on Saturday, but Tommy Kavanagh’s sending off eventually led to Ks relinquishing their 2-0 advantage to draw 2-2 at Kingsmeadow.

The pair fired blanks as boss Tommy Williams’ men crashed 2-0 at title favourites Margate om Tuesday - a game that featured a goal from former Ks midfielder Lewis Taylor.

But McCollin, who scored 58 goals in 109 appearances for Ks, insisted they had the fire power to launch a play-off push from their current position of 13th in the table.

“To be honest, I didn’t want to leave Ks. They have been like an extended family to me for the past three years,” he said.

“You can see already that Elvis and Nathaniel are good enough to get the goals for Ks. I’ve got no worries about them.”
