Epsom & Ewell can cut the gap at the top of the Combined Counties Premier League this weekend to two points, if they win at leaders South Park.

The Salts are currently second in the table, five points behind South Park, after a 5-3 win over Horley Town last weekend.

Nathan Ayling had the Salts 1-0 ahead at half time, but when Horley equalised soon after the break the hosts went into overdrive.

James Cottee restored the lead moments later and then added the third on 63 minutes.

The goalscring power of Epsom's front three was illustrated with further goals from Mark Jarman and Kyle Hough to extend the lead to 5-1 - before two late consolation strikes for Horley.

This weekend's game is the first of three vital fixtures with South Park - two in the league and a league cup quarter-final.

Epsom have previously had a good record against the Reigate-based side, winning six and drawing one of the previous seven meetings.
