CRYSTAL PALACE 0 v 2 CARDIFF CITY

FULL TIME. Same old story for Palace as a lack of fire power sees them fail to break down Cardiff despite dominating the second half. Next up is Southampton on Monday, see you then.

90 min: GOAL. Five minutes added on but it's all over as McCormack makes Davis look like a clown and slots home his second.

90 min: SUB: Fonte off, Pinney on for his first appearance.

85 min: Little happening. Palace have a lot of the ball but lose it when they get to the box.

81 min: Moses wins a free kick bang in the centre of goal 30 yards out. Hill rolls it to Kuqi who spanks it straight into the wall.

80 min: SUB: Cadogan on, Stokes off.

76 min: SUB: Eddie Johnson comes on for Bothroyd.

75 min: YELLOW CARD. Rae joins almost everyone else in getting a yellow card for a foul on Moses that gives Palace a free kick in a great spot. Carle chips it in and after an almighty scramble that sees Mnoses, Kuqi and Hill all denied, the ball goes over for a corner, that Fonte wastes.

74 min: YELLOW CARD. Bothroyd finally booked for his umpteenth foul.

71 min: YELLOW CARD. Fonte into the book for a tackle on McPhail and that chant comes out again.

69 min: Attendance 14,814

67 min: Chants of 'you don't know what you're doing' ring out around Selhurst at referee Mr Booth as he gives a free kick to Cardiff for Bothroyd's lunge on Moses. He really has lost control out there.

65 min: Just had it confirmed that Warnock has been sent off. That's the first time since he has been at Palace.

64 min: YELLOW CARD. Moses and Palace appeal for another penalty as Comminges handles but instead Moses gets booked.

63 min: Palace playing some nice football as Fonte drives at the defence before setting up Stokes outside the box but his drive is straight at Taylor.

60 min: Comley gets a bit excited as he robs Bothroyd on the corner of the box and with no one in the middle decides to shoot but it goes over. Davis seems to be struggling with his left shoulder.

54 min: Cardiff should be two up as McCormack's free kick finds Ledley all alone at the back post but he puts it wide.

52 min: YELLOW CARD. Hill booked for a late tackle on Bothroyd. A little harsh.

51 min: Palace incensed that they don't have a penalty as Fonte does a stepover in the box and is bundled over by Gyepes. He was looking for it a bit but definitely worth a shout.

48 min: Neither manager has come back out. I can understand Jones being sent to the stands but not Warnock, he wasn't involved unless something happened further down the tunnel. Some people in the press box say they have seen the Johnson Davis incident again and apparently Davis clearly elbowed Johnson in the throat.

46 min: SUB: Derry can't continue and Comley is coming on for him for only his second Eagles appearance.

HALF TIME: Drama as the players head for the tunnel with Cardiff manager Dave Jones making a beeline for Claude Davis who was involved in the challenge that got Johnson injured. Jones is furious and they two have to be separated by players and staff. Unbelievable end to the half. I'm going to go get some sandwiches and calm down.

45 min: Hill convinced he should have a penalty as Moses does well to win the ball back from a corner in the box and in the ensuing scramble Hill looks certain to score but it is somehow deflected wide and Hill claims a penalty but it's just a corner.

45 min: SUB: Johnson desperate to come back on but the Cardiff staff won't let him and Comminges comes on in his place.

45 min: Four minutes added on but there could be more as Johnson goes down in the box and there si some concern with players on both sides frantically calling for help. He's on this feet now and it looks like he may have swallowed hhis tongue or hurt his jaw. He's being walked off now.

43 min: Parry back on and there are half hearted appeal for a penalty from Palace as Moses goes down under pressure from McNaughton but nothing was ever going to be given there.

40 min: All a little bit meaty out there as Carle, David and McCarthy all go in legally but very very hard. The last one was on Parry and he is struggling to get back up. Derry is limping by the way but seems to have told the bench he will continue until half time.

38 min: SUB: Indeed it is Parry who comes on for Chopra. McCormack will now go upfront with Bothroyd and Parry comes wide right.

36 min: Chopra getting prolonged treatment after and aerial clash and is forced to limo off to the side. Cardiff look unsure if he can continue and it looks like he won't. Paul Parry could be the replacement.

33 min: Palace play a short corner that eventually works it way to Stokes 20 yards out but instead of shooting he tries an intricate pass that is cleared to Fonte and his drive is blocked.

28 min: Another chance as Fonte puts Derry through, he rounds the keeper out wide and with the box crowded he tries to find Kuqi but fails. Should have shot but then he hasn't scored all season.

26 min: Palace suddenly back in this with two chances in a minute. First Stokes's cross is only half cleared to Moses and in a scramble with a defender the ball loops towards goal and Taylor has to palm it away superbly. Only 30 seconds later Moses sets up Kuqi in the box for what is undoubtedly a better chance but he skews his shot horribly wide. Should have done better.

24 min: Moses and Stokes try and work something on the edge of the box but only success in getting in each others way and the chance is lost.

21 min: PENALTY AND GOAL. Cardiff take a deserved lead and it's McCormack from the spot. Ledley managed to escape Clyne down the left and the youngster just caught his ankles. Was more clumsy than anything else and a bit unlucky but definitely a penalty. McCormack calmly slotted into the bottom right corner with Speroni going the other way.

19 min: Cardiff looking very dangerous on the break. Palace attack but Stokes loses it and within 10 seconds Chopra has cut inside Hill but with just Speroni to beat he fires straight at the keeper.

15 min: Taylor comes rushing out of his goal but his clearance falls only to Fonte 45 yards out. With the goal gaping though he can't get enough height on his lob and Gyepes heads clear.

11 min: Palace's first chance and it comes to Kuqi. Cardiff fail to deal with a Stokes corner and Derry plays it back in where it eventually falls for the Finnish striker on the edge of the box but his half volley is deflected wide. McCarthy then flicks the resulting corner on at the near post but nowhere is there to capitalise.

8 min: Free kick in a good position for Cardiff as Hill bundles Chopra over. Both McCormack and Bothroyd are over it and Palace set a five man wall. Bothroyd whacks it but Speroni dives to make a super save with his legs. One way traffic here.

3 min: Early controversy as Chopra has a goal disallowed. Kennedy took a free kick into the box that Johnson headed back across far too easily for Chopra to nod in but the lino's flag was up, very close though. Less than a minute later Bothroyd wriggles free of Clyne and into the box but shoots wide, should have been on target and Palace's defending is very jittery.

1 min: Cardiff get us off and underway and it looks like 4-4-2 from the Eagles, with Stokes and Moses wide and Fonte and Kuqi up front.

Mark Kennedy is of course in the Cardiff side today making his first return to Selhurst Park since leaving for the Bluebirds in the summer. Apparently he has been one of their better players at left back too. Stuart Taylor was also one at Palace on loan from Arsenal, while Jay Bothroyd once had a trial here under Peter Taylor.

Palace: Julian Speroni, Nathaniel Clyne, Paddy McCarthy, Claude Davis, Clint Hill, Shaun Derry (c), Nick Carle, Rui Fonte, Victor Moses, Anthony Stokes, Shefki Kuqi. Subs: Matt Lawrence, Lee Hills, Nathaniel Pinney, James Comley, Kieron Cadogan.

Cardiff City: Stuart Taylor, Kevin McNaughton, Gavin Rae, Gabor Gyepes, Jay Bothroyd, Stephen McPhail, Roger Johnson, Joe Ledley (c), Michael Chopra, Mark Kennedy, Ross McCormack. Subs: Peter Whittingham, Eddie Johnson, Paul Parry, Tom Heaten, Miguel Comminges.

Welcome to this afternoon's game at Selhurst Park as Palace entertain promotion contenders Cardff City. Neil Warnock makes five changes from the side that drew with Coventry on Tuesday, the most notable of which sees Paddy McCarthy make a welcome return from the shoulder injury that has kept him out since Boxing Day in place of Jose Fonte, who is dropped from the squad altogether.

The other changes see Nathaniel Clyne, Nick Carle, Rui Fonte and Clint Hill all come in for Matt Lawrence and Lee Hills - who both drop to the bench - the injured Neil Danns and the absent Paul Ifill.
