CRYSTAL PALACE 0 v 1 WOLVES

Hello and welcome to tonight's game between two sides struggling for form in the Championship.

Neil Warnock makes three changes to the side that lost to Watford, with Shaun Derry, Lee Hills and Sean Scannell replacing Danny Butterfield, James Scowcroft and John Oster.

Palace: Speroni, Clyne, J Fonte, Lawrence, C Hill, Derry, Danns, Hills, Scannell, Lee, Ifill. Subs: Scowcroft, Ertl, Oster, R Fonte, Stokes.

Wolves: Hennessey, Edwards, Craddock, Kightly, Henry, Ebanks-Blake, Berra, Iwelumo, M Hill, Friend, Foley. Subs: Stearman, Keogh, Ward, Vokes, Reid.

min: Very little action in the opening stages with both teams getting used to the torrential rain and wind - which has already played havoc with a couple of hopeful long balls.

min: It hasn't got much better with both sides playing loose balls and no chances to speak of. Ifill is up front with Lee again by the way and Scannell and Hills on the wings.

min: Ifill gets some space in the midfield but instead of running at the defence sort of goes around in a wide arc and the chance to break is lost.

min: Mistake from Fonte as he needlessly blocks a cross with no one behind him and when Lawrence tries to head back to Speroni, Fonte gets in the way again and eventually the ball falls to Ebanks-Blake to shoot low and straight at Speroni. Comedy defending.

min: I'm not sure if that was luck or a brilliant defending from Clint Hill but he keeps Palace in it. Kightly goes past Lawrence far too easily in the box and crosses behind Hill for the unmarked Iwelumo but the defender sticks out his leg and somehow clear it with a fancy back heel. That's a warning from Palace though and Wolves are starting to get on top.

min: Kightly cuts inside but his curling shot is blocked by a combination of Hill and Lawrence. From the resulting corner Palace clear but Danns goes down injured. He's back on his feet but moving gingerly.

min: Speroni reacts well to change direction and stop Iwelumo's deflected shot after the Palace defence made a right mess of trying to clear a free kick.

min: First shot of the night for Palace and it goes to Hills on the edge of the box but it's high and wide.

min: Palace show a little bit of creativity from their throw in but nothing comes from them. Danns is running freely again now.

min: Craddock almost slices into his own net as Scannell drops the shoulder and goes round his man in the box and crosses across the six yard box where Craddock miscues but there's not enough on it to stop him clearing it before it crosses the line.

min: Good chance for Wolves as Kightly escapes down the right in acres of space but his cross is just too far ahead of the sliding Friend at the far post.

min: Superb covering block from Hill as Fonte and Lawrence let the ball bounce and Iwelumo puts Henry through on goal. Hill comes out of nowhere with a sliding tackle though and saves his side for the second time today.

min: Just the one minute added on as Ebanks-Blake is flagged offside, was a tough one though.

HALF TIME: The half probably belongs to Wolves who have had the better chances. Palace haven't really threatened. Clint Hill is heads and shoulders above everyone else ion terms of man of the match at the minute. Hopefully there will be more to write about second half. I'm off to get warm.

min: Back under way and there are no changes.

min: Hill wins a free kick that Ifill drills low and through the wall. Hennessey gets superb hand to it and pushes it on to the post and Wolves clear. Unlucky.

min: YELLOW CARD. Not much action since Ifill hit the post but Berra is booked for a crude tackle from behind on Lee on the half way line.

min: SUB: Scannell off and Stokes come on for his debut with a jazzy haircut to mark the occasion. Ifill goes wide right and Stokes through the middle with Lee.

min: Terrible keeping from Hennessey as he waits too long to come for a long ball allowing Ifill to nip in but the keeper redeems himself by blocking the ball away.

min: Palace looking lively as Ifill cuts inside from the left but his shot is deflected for a corner that's wasted.

min: YELLOW CARD. Lawrence booked for a late tackle on Ebanks-Blake.

min: YELLOW CARD. Craddock booked for pulling down Stokes as he raced round him on the by line.

min: SUB: Oster on, Hills off so the Welshman goes right wing and Ifill left.

min: Almost a chance for Palace but Lee's flick on is just ahead of Oster. Derry down getting treatment now and giving everyone a break in play.

min: PENALTY AND GOAL. Kightly goes through on goal and Hill pushes him from behind and gives away the spot kick. Hard to see from here if it was or not but Hill looks distraught by the decision. Ebanks-Blake sends Speroni the wrong way.

min: Chance for Stokes but he gets too much on his header from Oster's free kick. He got it all wrong really. Palace haven't scored for the last three games but they have to now if they want to get something from this.

min: SUB: Last throw of the dice for Palace as Scowcroft replaces Lee.

min: Wolves should be two up as Kightly plays Ebanks-Blake in down the right and his cross eludes everyone but Friend at the back post who can only toe poke wide of an open goal.

min: Attendance: 14,907

min: Palace heads have dropped and they've hardly been into the Wolves half since going behind.

min: SUB: Keogh on, Ebanks-Blake off

min: YELLOW CARD: Matt Hill booked for time wasting.

min: SUB: Vokes on, Iwelumo off.

min: YELLOW CARD: Henry booked for kicking the ball away as Palace win a free kick in a decent position but it's over hit by Oster, though to be fair to him the wind probably took it.

min: Clyne is a very lucky boy as he gifts Keogh a free run on goal but the striker takes too long too shot and the right back gets back to block.

min: SUB: Kightly off, Stearman on. Four minutes injury time by the way though I'm not sure it is going to make any difference.

FULL TIME. Oster wastes another free kick with an over hit delivery before the whistles goes and the players trudge off with their heads bowed. Not great at all from Palace. Thankfully though I am missing the next three games as I'm off on holiday and hopefully when I return everything will look a little more rosy. Rest assured the live commentary won't be going anywhere though, so tune in here from 3pm on Saturday for coverage of Palace v Preston.
