CRYSTAL PALACE 0 v 0 QUEENS PARK RANGERS

Welcome to this afternoon's match at Selhurst Park between Crystal Palace and QPR.

Neil Warnock makes one change to the side that beat Norwich on Tuesday as Paul Ifill returns in place of Shefki Kuqi, who can feel slightly hard done by following his performance in the last two games. Shaun Derry and Matt Lawrence remain on the bench, and Leandre Griffit is also in the 16.

For QPR, ex-Eagle Mikele Leigertwood starts and Gary Borrowdale is on the bench.

Palace: Speroni, Clyne, McCarthy, Fonte, Hill, Watson, Carle, Oster, Scannell, Ifill, Beattie. Subs: Lawrence, Derry, Moses, Griffit, Kuqi.

QPR: Cerny, Delaney, Stewart, Mahon, Leigertwood, Parejo, Blackstock, Agyemang, Gorkss, Ramage, Ephraim. Subs: Rowlands, Di Carmine, Cole, Helguson, Borrowdale.

min: One interesting battle today will be Warnock and ref Rob Styles - the two don't like each other very much. The latter gives Palace a free-kick on the advice of his linesman that eventually falls to Beattie and he curls straight at the keeper. Palace have started the better.

min: Agyemang gets the ball in loads of space on the left and puts in a great cross for the onrushing and unmarked Parejo but he scuffs his shot. Good chance.

min: Hill makes a break down the left and frees Ifill, whose low cross is cleared to Watson but he can only drill his shot about a foot wide.

min: Scannell skins Gorkss in the box but his cross for Beattie is too close to Cerny.

min: Palace look the better side and have played some nice stuff, passing the ball around confidently, but they haven't tested Cerny.

min: Carle finally shoots after Palace put together countless passes in the midfield but it's deflected over and Watson's delivery to the back post is only just cleared ahead of Hill.

min: Agyemang shows his power and pace to get around Fonte in the box but Speroni is out bravely to block at his feet. It's all a bit stale right now.

min: McCarthy does well under pressure from Blackstock before there's a little break in play as Scannell gets winded.

min: All very quiet at Selhurst. McCarthy has been off for treatment but is back on, as is Scannell.

min: Good chance for Ifill as his half volley is saved by Cerny at this near post. Oster's corner is just cleared ahead of Fonte.

min: A last-ditch header from Gorkss denies Beattie as the fourth official signals there will be two minutes of time added on.

min: YELLOW CARD: Ephraim booked for a late challenge on Watson.

HALF TIME: It's goalless but Palace have been far the better side. They are passing it around with confidence but doing nothing with it. They've been guilty of overplaying it too much and need to be more clinical after the break against what is a poor QPR side.

min: SUB: Parejo off, Helguson on.

min: And straight away the sub misses an open goal. The Eagles overplay it on the QPr box and the visitors break. Leigertwood puts Agyemang through whjo pokes it past Speroni but Helguson shoots wide with his first touch for QPR.

min: That was a bad miss that. Palace may have dominated but that was a stark reminder that they are not going to have it all their own way. It's raining quite heavily too.

min: Blackstock hooks Agyemang's deep cross on to the roof of the net at the back post.

min: Speroni gathers Leigertwood's drive at his near post.

min: YELLOW CARD: Carle booked for a late studs up challenge on Mahon.

min SUB: Blackstock off, Rowlands on

min: Rowlands is now playing behind Agyemang and Helguson and immediately has acres of space but drives his shot well wide.

min: It's a different Palace team this half and they're finding it hard to keep the ball. Derry and Kuqi look imminent.

min: DOUBLE SUB: Ifill and Carle off, Derry and Kuqi on. Derry takes over the captaincy from Hill.

min: Beattie twists inside Ephraim who brings him down 30 yards out just to the left of centre and Watson's kick hits the wall and goes over.

min: Palace back on top as Oster crosses from wide and Kuqi heads weakly at Cerny.

min: Clyne puts in a fantastic ball straight on to Scannell's head but it goes miles wide.

min: Kuqi chests down Oster's ball to Watson on the edge of the box but Stewart blocks his shot.

min: Long stoppage as the linesman by the dug out cannot continue and is being replaced by the fourth official - who decides to go a warm up jog before play can start again.

min: Attendance: 16,411

min: This has been apoor second half, Helguson's early miss the only action of note. Grifft is preparing to come on.

min: SUB: Scannell off, Griffit on

min: YELLOW CARD: Delaney booked for pulling back Griffit, the free kick is poor.

min: Five minutes added on, was sort of hoping there wouldn't be any.

min: SUB: Di Carmine on, Agyemang off

min: Palace almost snatch it as a great ball from Griffit finds Beattie whose shot is parried by Cerny and scrambled to safety.

FULL TIME: It's safe to say that was a pretty dire display but it keeps up Palace's mini unbeaten run. Next up is Derby County away next Saturday, see you then.
