David Goodwillie has left Crystal Palace and returned to Blackburn Rovers, the Croydon Guardian understands.
The 23-year-old striker was recruited on deadline day and made his debut the following day against Sheffield Wednesday, coming on as a second half substitute. It was his only appearence for the Eagles.
A source from within the club confirmed Goodwillie had left the club after he failed to settle in the area and was homesick.
Check the website tomorrow for reaction on Goodwillie's departure from manager Dougie Freedman.
