Crystal Palace boss Dougie Freedman is wondering if the world is feeling sorry for his football club.

Freedman takes his charges to Bolton Wanderers this afternoon (Saturday) before the trip to Wolves on Tuesday night, and he will not have talk of them as being "tough" Championship games.

Moreover, the Scot is confident the Eagles can return to Selhurst Park with a haul of points, perhaps even the full quota of six.

He said: "Every week people tell me we have a tough game coming up, I don't know if it's because people feel sorry for us, if so, they shouldn't.

"Last week people were telling me that Nottingham Forest were wonderful, Nottingham Forest do this and that, Nottingham Forest have spent £10m. That is not bad, but we ain’t bad either.

"Then comes Cardiff, and they’ve spent £20m on this player and that player. That is not bad, but we ain’t bad either."

He added: "Bolton and Wolves are good teams with experienced players but the way we’re playing right now and the confidence we’ve got among the players, these are winnable games.

"And we have a good squad – if someone gets an injury I have the resources to shuffle things around so I feel if we approach it the right way we can come away with good results."

Freedman has a fully fit squad for the trip to the Midlands and beyond - something which pleases the boss.

He said: "Peter [Ramage] was a slight doubt but he's going to be OK.

"I take a lot of pride in the fact we have a fully fit squad in terms of how we train and the rehabilitation programmes we have. It shows we're doing something right and it's very pleasing."
