Aston Villa have signed Mile Jedinak from Crystal Palace on a three-year deal.

The popular midfielder handed over the captain’s armband to Scott Dann earlier in the month and has now left south London.

Jedinak, who has represented Australia over 60 times, played 165 league games for the Eagles since joining the club in 2011.

The 32-year-old leaves Palace for an undisclosed fee and has penned a three-year contract at Championship side Villa.

Manager Alan Pardew said: "Mile has been an influential figure at Palace since joining five years ago.  He has been a super player and instrumental in our progress as a club.

"We thank him for his commitment in a Palace shirt and wish him the best of luck in his next chapter at Aston Villa."
