Crystal Palace are weighing up a summer move for Wigan Athletic midfielder Max Power, reports say.

The 22-year-old has made 48 appearances for Wigan this season, helping the club secure promotion back into the Championship.

Power only joined the Latics last summer from Tranmere but has attracted the attention of several clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to the Daily Mail, Palace are considering a move for Power, who has been a key figure in Wigan’s promotion success.

However, it is claimed that the Eagles face competition in securing his signature as Championship clubs Brentford and Blackburn are also interested in a deal.

Crystal Palace are expected to bolster their squad this summer after a disappointing second-half of the Premier League season.

Alan Pardew’s side started the campaign in fine style and were tipped as potential European contenders before Christmas.

However, they only secured their status in the top flight last week with a 2-1 win over Stoke.

They travel to Southampton on Sunday for their final league game of the season, before attentions turn to May 21 and a FA Cup final against Manchester United.
