Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen believes Tottenham’s returning players can inflict defeat over Crystal Palace tomorrow.

Spurs will make the small journey to Selhurst Park following Wednesday evening’s 2-0 win against Leicester City in the FA Cup.

Despite fielding a weakened side, Mauricio Pochettino’s side ensured their place in the fourth round of the competition through Son Heung-min and Nacer Chadli goals.

With Pochettino set to offer several key players a return to first-team action, Owen has predicted an away win for the Premier League clash.

The ex-Liverpool star, who scored 40 goals for England, said in his BetVictor column: “Whilst Leicester disappointed, Spurs impressed, with manager Mauricio Pochettino juggling his pack nicely to turn the Foxes over 2-0 despite the spine of the team left on the bench at the King Power.

“The quartet of Hugo Lloris, Jan Vertonghen, Dele Alli and Harry Kane should all return to the side and ensure Spurs complete a third straight win in all competitions at the Eagles’ expense.”

After an impressive start to the season, Spurs have forced their way in to a Champions League position and trail league leaders Arsenal by just five points.

Palace, meanwhile, remain in the top half of the table but have not recorded a league win since before Christmas.
