Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie has been nominated for the Confederation of Africa Football’s Player of the Year award.
The Congo international, 26, features in the 37-man shortlist alongside the likes of Victor Wanyama, Rudy Gestede and Manchester City’s Yaya Toure, who has won the prize for four consecutive years.
Bolasie has been an integral figure for both club and country over the past 12 months and helped Congo reach the semi finals of the recent Africa Cup of Nations.

The quick winger attracted the attention of several elite clubs this summer and was linked with a move away from Selhurst Park.
However, Bolasie remained at the club and recently committed his future to Palace by signing a new three-and-a-half-year deal.
