James McArthur says Palace's focus is completely on bouncing back from last weekend's surprise home defeat to West Brom by beating Hull on Saturday.

After conceding early goals in each half from James Morrison and Craig Gardner, Tony Pulis’ Baggies produced a typical smash and grab away performance to take the points at Selhurst Park.

It ended a run of four straight wins for the Eagles, but McArthur was looking to get back to winning ways for a final push into the top half of the table.

He said: “We are gutted as a team. We want to win every match, but we know that you can’t do that in this league.

“You’ll get games where you lose and it’s about bouncing back and staying positive and keeping that winning mentality for next week.

“Every game in the Premier League, anyone can win. It doesn’t matter who you play.

“We’ve obviously got a tough run at the end of the season but we want to get back to winning ways and we believe we can beat anyone.

“The target is to keep winning matches - and if we do that we’ll finish high up.”

Yannick Bolasie produced another eye-catching display last weekend and drew a sharp save from Boaz Myhill with a spectacular bicycle kick.

Alan Pardew suggested the winger’s value has soared to £20 million on the back of recent performances, but McArthur feels the main priority is holding on to their stars to improve next season.

He explained: “Bolasie is an attacker that I would never like to play against. Not only running at you, he’s so strong and powerful.

“He’s got everything and I’m sure he’ll add to his goals this season.

“As a club we want to keep pushing and we need to keep our best players for that.”
