Palace winger Jason Puncheon has launched an extraordinary attack on ex-Eagles manager Neil Warnock.

The 27-year-old was responding to comments Warnock made on radio station Talksport about his missed penalty against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Warnock said he was unsure Puncheon had the mentality to handle the pressure of the penalty kick and would not have had him as a penalty taker from what he saw of him in training.

Puncheon took to twitter to vent his frustrations and hit back at the former QPR boss.

He tweeted: “In the wake of a bad penalty and people's opinions and banter which I accept @mattletiss7 on @talkSPORTLive this morning gets it right...”

He tweeted allegations towards Warnock, adding that his former manager at QPR was hardly ever at training.

Puncheon has since deleted his tweets.

Responding to the allegations, Neil Warnock said: "If it's been suggested I have done anything untoward, I can confirm I most certainly haven't.

"The matter is being addressed with him directly on my behalf."
