Football might be a team game, but if Brentford's Alan Judge maintains his current individual performance levels a full international cap is not far away.

The 26-year-old midfielder scored one and created others for John Swift and Lasse Vibe as the Bees made it three wins in the space of eights days with a 3-0 triumph at Charlton Athletic on Saturday.

Judge was in Republic of Ireland manager Martin O'Neill's senior squad for the recent Euro 2016 qualifiers and has his sights on a spot in the team for his country's forthcoming qualifying play-offs.

And Bees head coach Lee Carsley believes some more hard graft from the former Blackburn Rovers man will see him realise his full potential.

"Generally to win a match you need nine players. You can afford to carry two. But again we had 10 or 11 players. We didn’t carry anyone," said Carsley of his side's display at the Valley.

"Obviously Judgey [Alan Judge] will probably get the headlines, but there are a lot of players giving him the ball in good positions.

"He’s a real team player who works really hard. I still think as a player there’s a lot more development to come out of him.

"He needs to turn good performances into goals and assists and if he can do that he can become a full international."
