Brentford head coach Marinus Dijkhuizen is expecting a tough test from his team’s northern road trip.

The Bees head to Leeds United on Saturday before making the trip to play-off nemesis Middlesbrough on Tuesday.

The squad will remain in Yorkshire after the weekend clash before heading to the north east where they will hope to topple a team they lost to four times last season.

“This is my first time here so I don't know what to expect from them," said Dijkhuizen.

"I have seen some games, but it is too early to look at their squads and say they are going to be strong or not.

"They are two tough teams. I don't think there are a lot of easy games in the Championship.

“You can see how many quality players there are and how much money there is being spent by clubs, to see that.

“Two games away is tough, but we will stay up there for four or five nights and spend time together. That will be good.”
