The man who has profited most from Tom Beere's arrival at Hampton & Richmond Borough says the AFC Wimbledon midfielder deserves another crack at establishing himself at the Cherry Red Records stadium.

Beavers striker Nicke Kabamba has netted seven goals in 14 appearances since the 21-year-old arrived at the Beveree on loan from the League Two play-off chasers.

Hampton stand on the brink of claiming the Ryman Premier League title after Saturday's 3-0 win at Farnborough and they need a win at out-of-form Grays Athletic this weekend to seal a return to the National League South.

Beere, who made 20 appearances for the Dons last season, has netted four times in 14 league appearances for the Beavers - a run that has featured 10 wins and only two defeats for boss Alan Dowson's men.

And Kabamba believes he is showing the sort of form that can win AFC Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley's favour once more.

"He is a passing player and when he plays he is a player that makes us all pass the ball," said the former Hemel Hempstead Town striker.

"He has been absolutely brilliant for us.

"When he first came here I told him that he would score goals if he got a run of games.

"He hadn't scored for nearly two years and I think he got one in his third or fourth game.

"If he keeps playing the way he is, he will go back to AFC Wimbledon and should be straight in the squad."
