A school has danced its way, and a footballer will be benchpressing his way, to raising money for Children in Need.

Mitcham based Jus’T’Learn Independent School raised £150 for the charity with a sponsored pyjama dance-a-thon, as well as a cake sale and a raffle.

The students also completed a graffiti artwork project of Pudsey Bear at Jus’T’Learn’s main site at Commonside East.

Deputy director at JUS Education Zarah Jussab said: "We are happy with the amount we raised. Being a small organisation, it’s a lot for us.

"Last year we kept it very basic and just did a pyjama day. We raised about £50, so this year we’ve tripled that."

Also fundraising for Children in Need are Paul Strank Roofing, who have joined together with AFC Wimbledon.

They will be holding a sponsored bench press to see if AFC Wimbledon striker and the 'world's strongest footballer' Adebayo Akinfenwa can lift Pudsey Bear.

The event will take place on Friday, November 13 at 2pm at the Paul Strank Roofing headquarters in Weir Road, Wimbledon.
