Dons defender Andy Frampton is waiting on the results of another scan on his ankle as his return from injury threatens to run and run.
The 35-year-old fractured the bone in pre-season and did not pull on a Dons shirt in anger until October.
Frampton’s return was short-lived after he limped out of the FA Cup tie at York City. He was back in training this week, but he has aggravated the injury once again.
Boss Neal Ardley said: “Andy gives 110 per cent in training, and he blocked a shot on his ankle and limped about, and then felt it again in a tackle.

“He goes for a scan so we can find out what is going on and maybe put his mind at rest, because at the moment he is like a bear with a sore head.”
He added: “If we can verify it’s not a fracture, then you know that getting through the pain is part of the process to recovery, instead of thinking there is potentially no end to it.”
